Prayer is essential to the protection, well-being, and effectiveness of the ministry. We encourage all believers to pray for us on a regular basis.

Volunteer

- Medical Director – are you licensed in the State of Michigan, specializing in family, internal or emergency medicine or OB/GYN? Are you willing to donate 4-9 hours a month to supervise Spero’s medical services? Email Jennifer at Director@BlueWaterBabies.org to apply.
- Additional current needs include RN’s, cleaning, receptionists, trained counselors, event planning, quarterly mailings, handymen/women, speakers, or outreach for Spero.
- Volunteer shifts in clinic are usually 4 hrs. one day a week.
- Training for volunteer positions is provided (amount of training depends on type of position)

No matter what your background, personality, gifts or talents are, you can help others in our local community. Because Spero is a Christian based organization, all Board, staff and volunteers must be followers of Jesus. Clients are served regardless of their faith.

Ambassador
An Ambassador is someone who accurately represents another person or group and speaks on their behalf. Become an Ambassador for Spero by telling others about us. As you share our message, you never know if you are talking to a future client or supporter, so talk to everyone!
- Be a Church Liaison to share Spero with your church or group. Be the direct link of communication between your pastor/priest/elder and Spero, keeping them informed of fundraisers, events, legislation, prayer needs, etc.
- Share on Social Media. Using Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc., Like, Share and Comment about Spero to keep enlarging our circle of friends. Make sure to also invite your friends to Like Spero’s page. Ask us how if you need help.

- Host a House Party by inviting a few friends to your home for a brief presentation by the Spero Director (or other staff member), who will share the mission and vision, answer questions, and invite guests to be involved. It is a casual, fun, and personal way to learn more about Spero.

Client Care
Our clients need someone who is trained to counsel from the Bible. We are looking for a warm spirited woman with the gift of mercy who is passionately pro-life to fill this position. She needs to be unafraid to share the truth (whether about abortion or salvation), yet be able to share it in simple and kind ways. The issues being addressed seem to run deeper and, in more directions, than ever before. Training and experience in counseling and Life Experience is a help. This position would be 4-5 days a week, 9am-5pm with occasional additional days. Time management skills and ability to confidently use technology are needed.

Would you like to be able to more confidently defend your pro-life position? Life Ambassadors is a 3 week training opportunity designed to equip students and adults to become effective ambassadors for life wherever you go. You CAN communicate the pro-life position in an engaging and intelligent manner! Learn to speak the facts and graciously interact with anyone on the most pressing moral issue of our time: abortion. This training will prepare you for service and outreach in life and ministry wherever you are called.
Thursdays – Oct 3, 10, & 17, 2024 at 5:30-8:30pm
There will be an invitation at the end for those who desire to volunteer directly at Spero.
