Essential Services Notice – COVID

To Whom it May Concern:
Spero Pregnancy Center has determined that some of its services are essential based on the CISA guidelines of essential infrastructure, specifically:
- Workers who support food, shelter, and social services, and other necessities of life for economically disadvantaged or otherwise needy individuals
- Caregivers (e.g., physicians, dentists, psychologists, mid-level practitioners, nurses and assistants, infection control and quality assurance personnel, pharmacists, physical and occupational therapists and assistants, social workers, speech pathologists and diagnostic and therapeutic technicians and technologists)
In addition, the Order released by Governor Whitmer dated March 24, 2020 specifies that EO 2020-21. This Order may be found: https://www.michigan.gov/whitmer/0,9309,7-387-90499_90705-522626–,00.html
Spero Pregnancy Center falls into the following two permitted categorie(s). Both categories are under Health Care & Public Health
- Health Care Services: Offices of Other Health Practitioners. Pregnancy Center provides pregnancy testing, limited obstetric ultrasound scans, and STD testing and treatment. These services are performed under the direction of Dr. Aaron Clark.
- Social Services Assistance. Pregnancy Center provides necessary items for families in need such as diapers, wipes, baby food, formula, etc.
