Making a Difference - Client Testimonies
Here at BWPCC we have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of many women and men. There are numerous stories of the diverse people that BWPCC works with every day. It is a true blessing to be able to see and hear the ways in which BWPCC is making a difference in the Blue Water Community. Below are just a few of our clients stories.

Jamie* walked into BWPCC wanting an abortion because she had a previous high risk pregnancy and was having trouble raising her 2 previous children. Jamie’s client advocate talked with her about the emotional, physical and spiritual effects of abortion. The client was offered a free ultrasound, which she gladly took. Jamie was able to see life inside her and she chose to carry and parent her baby. BWPCC continued to support her with parenting education and baby items such as diapers!

After her recent ultrasound exam, Betty* said, “If I hadn’t had an ultrasound, my baby wouldn’t be here. Thank you for helping me keep from making a huge mistake.”

Angela decided to parent her newborn after many questions and much guidance from trained staff here at the BWPCC. She, along with her parents and the father of the child, decided that parenting would be the option for them, and she is wholeheartedly parenting, and finishing with her high school education.

Jayden is now able to taste, touch, hear, smell and see. God sent his angels from above to embrace and shield his mom’s heart with LOVE.  She then chose life for her child, after canceling an abortion appointment after meeting with BWPCC staff. She now enjoys her son’s life as a welcome addition to her family!!!

"Looking back, I wish I had come to a place like the pregnancy center before I had had an abortion. I know that I would have been secure in the choice I had made. Recently I made the choice to terminate an unplanned pregnancy. I thought it was my only option. Afterwards, I found myself unable to cope with what I had done..."

Tara was led to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ’s finished work on the cross after about 9 months of weekly classes, with one consistent client advocate. The angels in heaven rejoiced with us as we welcomed a new sister in Christ for redemption. Tara is busily raising her two baby twins with her 2 other children.

This young mother and her daughter now have a safe place to live and are being helped with her car. She is currently being assisted through the adoption process for her preborn child. Many Christian friends came together, another life was saved, and a mother was saved from a lifetime of regret.  Praise God!

This is just one family that has been touched by the services that are provided by the Blue Water Pregnancy Care Center. We’ve had the privilege of working with thousands of young people.

We were privileged to be a part of God’s work in a young single mom’s life. She found herself in crisis when she became pregnant by the man she and her beautiful two-year-old daughter had been forced to live with because she had no place else to go. He insisted she have an abortion and claimed he would not sign off for an adoption. A friend of hers found out that an abortion appointment was set for that Saturday and she called her church for help. The church contacted us and brought her in. What a pleasure it was to watch God begin to soften this street-tough young woman as she realized she was being surrounded by people who genuinely cared for her and her daughter as well as her preborn baby. This young mother and her daughter now have a safe place to live. She was assisted through the adoption process for her preborn child.

The Mission and History
In November 1986, a group of concerned Christians answered God’s call by establishing the Blue Water Pregnancy Care Center.  By then, many young men and women had been convinced that abortion was the solution to their unwanted pregnancies.  For 25 years, volunteers and staff have been speaking God’s love and truth into the lives of these confused young people and the best results have been amazing.

babyAbortion-threatened babies have been given life, parents haunted by past mistakes have received forgiveness and restoration, and uncertain parents have been shown effective parenting skills.  God continues to advance His good works at BWPCC today!  Dedicated Christian volunteers and staff answer phones and greet visitors daily with truth and hope for their lives.  To date, we’ve served over 6500 clients!

Because of God’s blessings and friends of the center, we converted to a medical center on April 8, 2005.  Focus On The Family provided us with much needed expertise raising the bar of excellence, and 80% of the cost of an ultrasound system.  The Community Foundation of St. Clair County’s Youth Advisory Council, along with other friends, helped fund the hiring, training, and certifications of nurses and administrative staff.  Our annual budget grew from $40,000 in 2003 to a current budget of $195,000.

The addition of nurses and the ultrasound have greatly increased our ability to serve our client’s needs and empower them to make informed decisions and choose life for their babies!  We look forward to serving over 800 clients this year!
Statement of Faith
  • We believe in the verbal inspiration, inerrancy, and authority of the Scriptures. (II Tim. 3:16-17; II Peter 1:19-21)
  • We believe that man was created perfect, in the image and likeness of God, but voluntarily sinned and fell from his sinless state. As a result, all men are sinners and hopelessly lost, apart from the grace of God. (Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23, 5:12; Ephesians 2:1)
  • We believe that life begins at conception and that abortion is a violation of the sixth commandment. (Ex. 20:13; Psalms 51:5, 139:13-18; Romans 13:9)
  • We believe that God is a Person who has revealed Himself as a Trinity in unity; Father, Son and Holy Spirit – three Persons and yet but one God. (Duet. 6:4; Matt 28:19; Acts 5:3-4; I Cor. 8:6)
  • We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and that He is both true God and true man, apart from sin. (Matt 1:18-25; Isaiah 7:14; John 1:14; Phil. 2:6-11)
  • We believe that salvation is received by grace alone through faith in the substitutionary death and shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. The conditions to salvation are repentance and faith. (Acts 4:12, 20:21; Romans 1:16; Eph.2:8-9; I Peter 1:18-19, 3:18)
  • We believe in the literal, bodily resurrection of the crucified Lord, His ascension into Heaven, His present life there as our High Priest and Advocate. (Matt. 28:1-10; John 20:24-29; Acts 1:9-11; I Cor. 15:1-4; Heb. 4:14-16)
  • We believe that every true believer, born of the Spirit, can have full assurance of salvation and eternally secure in Christ. (John 3:5-6, 10:28-29; I John 5:12-13)
  • We believe that every believer is called to a holy life, should belong to a Bible-believing local church for fellowship and for the furtherance of the Gospel. (Matt. 28:19-20; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8; Heb. 10:25; I Pet. 1:15-16)
  • We believe in the imminent return of the Lord, which is the blessed hope of the Church. (Matt. 24:21, 29-30, 25:31; I Thes. 1:10, 4:13-18; Titus 2:13)
  • We believe in the everlasting conscious blessedness of the saved and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost. (Matt. 25:46; Rev. 20:11-15, 21:1-6)
